Partnership with Seattle Sperm Bank

Through our partnership with Seattle Sperm Bank, Adora Fertility enhances its services by offering access to an extensive range of sperm donors from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. At present, donors from Seattle Sperm Bank are available to patients’ undergoing treatment in Queensland and New South Wales. All donors comply with Australian legislative requirements, having undergone comprehensive testing and screening. This collaboration ensures our patients have access to a variety of donors, supporting them on their journey towards building a family.

Starting Your Fertility Journey with Adora Fertility

At Adora Fertility, we’re here to guide you every step of the way on your fertility journey. Below is an outline of the process to get started with our services:

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Contact our Patient Advisory Team to schedule your first appointment with an Adora Fertility GP. During this appointment, pathology screening will be arranged for you and your partner (if applicable). Once the screenings are complete, you’ll attend a review appointment to discuss the results and obtain a referral to the specialist.

Step 2: Consultation with a Fertility Specialist

After meeting with a Fertility Specialist, a personalised treatment plan will be created and consent forms discussed. At this stage, our Donor Coordinators will be in touch and provide you access to view the available donors in the state where your treatment will take place. Each donor profile includes baby photos, physical attributes, personality traits, medical history and genetic carrier screening results.

Step 3: Counselling Sessions

Before reserving a donor and beginning treatment, you and your partner (if applicable) will need to attend two counselling sessions with an ANZICA-qualified Adora Fertility counsellor. These sessions are a mandatory part of the process for receiving donated gametes.

Step 4: Selecting Your Donor

Once you’ve chosen a donor, contact your Donor Coordinator and provide the donor details to begin the reservation process.

Please note: Donor availability is subject on family limits and vial availability, which will be confirmed by your Donor Coordinator and Seattle Sperm Bank.

Step 5: Reserving Your Donor

The Donor Coordinator will introduce you to a representative at Seattle Sperm Bank, who will manage the reservation and payment process. Once payment is finalised, your order will be packed and shipped directly to your clinic. To ensure there are no delays in shipment, please complete and return your consent forms to Adora Fertility once payment has been made.

Step 6: Genetic Screening & Counselling

All donors from Seattle Sperm Bank undergo comprehensive genetic carrier screening. If your chosen donor is identified as a carrier for a genetic condition, mandatory genetic counselling will be required. This ensures you are fully informed of any associated risks. Your Donor Coordinator will let you know if counselling is necessary.

Step 7: Finalising Your Treatment Plan

After selecting your donor and your fertility specialist has approved you for treatment, you will receive invoice for the Adora Donor Program fee which is required before proceeding.

Step 8: Nurse Consultation

The final step involves a nurse consultation to discuss your upcoming treatment cycle and organise any required medication.

We’re here to support you every step of the way as you take this important step toward building your family. For more information, feel free to contact our dedicated team.
